Jose Canseco loves attention, no matter what kind it is. This was no more evident than on Wednesday afternoon when the former Major League Baseball player tweeted out that he is an alleged suspect in an Las Vegas rape probe. According to Las Vegas police, Canseco is indeed a suspect: “He is a suspect in a sexual assault case,” said Las Vegas police officer Jose Hernandez. “He has not been charged. Our investigation is ongoing.” The tweets from Canseco have since been deleted, but here is his most recent tweet. We will not print the name that he uses since we are not sure if this is the alleged rape victim: Lets play truth or dare. I dare [name redacted] to tell the truth. Canseco is probably not doing himself a ton of favors by doing this at the moment, and this is probably the most perfect example of what Twitter should not be used for. Canseco is just stared playing baseball again at the age of 48 for a minor league team in the Independent League. H/T NYPost and Star Tribune
