From Larry Brown Sports:

Fans of the crazy people who have Twitter accounts were left in disbelief and a state of mourning Tuesday when it became apparent that the high comedy that is Jose Canseco's Twitter feed mysteriously no longer existed.

But worry not, folks. After approximately three hours off the grid — a time during which the Internet felt so empty — Canseco’s account was back up and running, offering cyber hugs and producing nonsense in no time. Upon his triumphant return, the former Bash Brother and now possible zombie greeted us with tweets that only the mind of Canseco can come up with:

If you’re unfamiliar with some of the brilliance that’s come from Canseco’s Twitter account, here’s a sampling:

Yup, I’d say we dodged a bullet today, Cansecomaniacs. If you haven’t already, I’d give Canseco a follow now. I know I have. You never know what you’ve got until you lose it.

Checking In On Tommy Milone, Derek Norris, Brad Peacock, and A.J. Cole

Gio Gonzalez earned his second win of the season last night, tossing six shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out six. By every measurable account, the decision to acquire the hard throwing left-hander via trade has been a smashing success thus far. While he's only four starts into the season, you could make a reasonable argument that he's been the team...

Oakland's offseason acquisitions are off to strong starts

The Oakland A's aren't feeling too badly about those deals they made in the offseason. Tommy Milone, picked up in the Gio Gonzalez trade with the Washington Nationals, is 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA. Ryan Cook, acquired in the Trevor Cahill deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks, is the A's top right-handed set-up man and he has not allowed a run this season. On Wednesday, the...

Breaking: Jose Canseco's Twitter account has disappeared

Jose Canseco's Twitter account has been a source of much joy for sports fans and fans of generally crazy people.  His thoughts on the enviornment, his tweets of encouragement to Bobby Valentine, his confusion over spambots, and his challenges to fight Shaquille O'Neal quickly became the best sideshow going in social media.  However, today, a visit to Canseco's Twitter...

So When Will We All Stop Giving Jose Canseco Attention?

Craig Calcaterra of Hardball Talk recently checked up on Jose Canseco‘s ridiculous Twitter antics and had a bit of fun with it in an article. “Why?“ That’s the only thing that ran through my head when I read the title of the article in my RSS feed. Now it’s not my intent to pick on

Jose Canseco deletes his Twitter account

A dark day has befallen us, America. Jose Canseco has deleted his Twitter account. This is an absolute tragedy, one that was probably caused by this seedy Buzzfeed piece in which a writer for the site posed as a model and tried to get Canseco to send her nude pictures of himself. We've had plenty of fun with Canseco's meltdowns on TOC, which have included an inordinate amount...

Rays sign Hideki Matsui to minor league deal

Jack Curry of the YES Network is reporting that the Tampa Bay Rays are signing Hideki Matsui to a minor league deal. Last season, Matsui played for the A's, and he had his worst season yet in America. Matsui had a .696 OPS and homered just 12 times in 141 games. Matsui will be 38 in June, and his best years are clearly behind him. Since leaving the Yankees after the 2009 season...
