Here is why I hate fantasy baseball.

You do research and scouting to try and assemble a team that will carry you to a championship. Problem is, the major league baseball season is 1,000 months long and you can never prepare for the things that will be thrown at you.

Case in point, Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira. I benched him this week because he has been relatively useless for me. He's hit a few homers, but was batting something like .190 yesterday. I know that Tex is a slow starter and once A-Rod comes back, you can assume he’ll hit about 35 home runs and knock in 125. But I have Dodgers first baseman James Loney -- who was batting around .300 and is poised to break out in the ridiculous Dodgers lineup -- and Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks, who has been collecting dust on my bench while playing pretty good (I start Chase Utley at second).
