Whatever Justin Verlander wants, Justin Verlander gets these days.  SI Swimsuit model?  Check.  Ferrari, Lamborghini, multiple Mercedes and an Aston Martin?  Check, check, check and check.  Even Twitter is eating out of Verlander’s right hand. On Monday, JV took to the masses with a plea to get his brother Ben, a Tigers minor leaguer who’s in spring training with the big boys, “verified” on Twitter.  To those not well-versed in Twitter speak, “celebrities” are “verified” on Twitter so users know they’re following official accounts.  The elder Verlander, Justin, has 462,000+ followers and is verified.  Younger brother Ben has 19,100 followers. At 3:56PM EST Monday, Justin asked Twitter to “verify” Ben because Ben made a spring training Major League appearance.  He sought his followers’ retweets to support his cause. Twitter   At 4:01PM EST, Ben was verified. Like I said, whatever JV wants, JV gets – even to the point of a $30 BILLION company dropping everything and granting his wish IN FIVE MINUTES. Twitter Tigers fans should be hoping that good ole JV wants a World Series ring.  He can start asking for it anytime now.  Ready…GO!

Verlander's face says, "I can't believe he's really doing it; that gator could very well have the herp." By the way, D4L's first viral post from exactly five years ago was a story about a gator. Spring training a family affair for Tigers' Castellanos

LAKELAND, Fla. -- When Detroit Tigers rookie third baseman Nick Castellanos jacked his first homer of the Grapefruit League season deep and onto the berm beyond the left field wall Monday, his father, fiancee and grandparents were cheering loudly at Joker Marchant Stadium. When Castellanos came out of the game, they greeted him in the area between the field exit gate and clubhouse...

Hunter said he just puckered at the reptile from nearby Gatorland. "I didn't actually kiss it," Hunter told reporters. "I was just on the back side of it....

Will the Detroit Tigers win the World Series or disappoint fans in 2014?

The Detroit Tigers are a week into their Grapefruit League schedule and Justin Verlander is once again the main topic of discussion heading into the 2014 MLB season.  But I’m tired of hearing about JV, so I want to talk about Max Scherzer and the platoon in left field.  First off, Andy Dirks will have […]

Photo: Torii Hunter kisses alligator, because Justin Verlander dared him to

Torii Hunter kissed an alligator because Justin Verlander dared him to. I don't know if kissing an alligator will help rid Hunter of his fear, but it's at least a nice try.

2014 Detroit Tigers Team Preview

For the 2014 Detroit Tigers Team Preview, we enlisted the services of one of the most devoted baseball fans we know; a huge Tigers fan named Corey. We also know him as ‘Detroit Stars’, one of the most feared Fantasy Baseball managers on the planet. You can follow him on twitter here. I thought the 2013 Tigers were about to go up 2-0 against the Red Sox in the ALCS.  I thought...

Ian Kinsler: Hope Rangers go 0-162

Former Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler clearly won't be pulling for his old club now that he's with the Detroit Tigers.
