Arguably the best pitcher in baseball will likely be in a Dodgers uniform for the remainder of his career. The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a 7-year, $215 million dollar extension with their ace, Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw, who won the NL Cy Young Award two of the last three seasons, will be the highest paid pitcher ever in baseball breaking Justin Verlander’s 7-year, $180 million. He was 16-9 with a 1.83 ERA and 232 strikeouts last season.
According to Yahoo’s Jeff Passon, Kershaw is now the sixth athlete in American sports to get a $200 million dollar deal, joing A-Rod (twice), Pujols, Cano, Fielder and Votto)
