He's still out there... He's big, young, powerful and had tremendous patience... He is the only active player to have hit 40 or more homeruns and drawn 100 or more walks for five consecutive seasons. Of course we're talking about Adam Dunn. Has it really sunk in with everybody that the Mets will not get Manny Ramirez? Has it also sunk in that two would-be great bench players, will instead be our starting left fielders next season? The biggest knock on Dunn is two things. 1. His fielding. 2. His strikeouts. Did you know that if you prorated the at-bats for Fernando Tatis last season to 550 at-bats, he would have struck out 120 times? Did you know that in Fernando Tatis' only full season in the majors, he struck out 128 times? It's why he lost his job as a starter, shuffled around from team to team, and was actually out of the game for some time.
