Now, that’s more like it. What I saw of tonight’s game looked a lot more like the team I enjoy watching. I won’t say “know and love” because I love my Rangers unconditionally … even when they’re really hard to like. But right now, they’re back to being likeable.
They took two of three from the Giants over the weekend, and they came out swinging against the Diamondbacks tonight. Everyone in the lineup had a hit. And they scored nine runs on 16 hits. That’s the most runs they’ve scored since May 27 when they put 12 on the board. To say they’ve been in a scoring drought would be an understatement. I got home just after the two-out two-run home run by David Murphy. That put the Rangers up 3-0. And then they just couldn’t stop scoring after that. You’re welcome.
I suppose Colby Lewis should get some credit too. He pitched a complete game, giving up just one run on four hits while striking out seven. And he only needed 105 pitches. Oustanding. More outings like
