One thing I find a little puzzling is talk that trading Marco Scutaro opened up room on the Red Sox payroll. Clearly it did, but not that much. Baseball Reference says Scutaro made $5.5 million in 2011 -- nothing to sneeze at, but not a bank-breaker by baseball standards.By comparison, Bobby Jenks, who appeared in 19 games, made $6 million in 2011.People speculating on this windfall...
