Found June 15, 2013 on Fox Sports Wisconsin:
The 2013 Milwaukee Brewers have had a horrible string of luck with regard to injuries. Eight Brewers currently reside on the disabled list, saddled with injuries ranging from thumb contusions (Ryan Braun) to formerly torn knee ligaments (Corey Hart). Logan Schafer must've felt especially fortunate, as he continued his torrid stretch by going 3-for-4 to pace Milwaukee's 6-0 road win in Cincinnati -- the Brewers' first shutout victory of 2013. "It's nice to come out here and get a shutout, and get a few runs across and get a win," said Schafer, after his second straight three-hit outing. Milwaukee, now 12-19 on the road this season, exorcised some recent demons against Cincinnati, as the Brewers had been winless in four games this season against the Reds. The Brewers (28-39) have now won six of their last eight games overall. "Six-nothing, we don't have many of those," manager Ron Roe...

Norichika Aoki adept at putting balls in play

In baseball, strikeouts happen. Every player strikes out, some more than others. But no player in baseball has been harder to strike out this season than Brewers right fielder Norichika Aoki. Entering play Friday, Aoki has struck out every 17.9 at-bats this season, by far the best in baseball, as San Francisco's Marco Scutaro is second at 14.5 and Miami's Placido Polanco...

Jean Segura deserving of All-Star selection

As the third update of the All-Star Game balloting results was released Sunday night, one thing is still clear. Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Jean Segura isn't going to catch Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. Still third in votes among National League shortstops, Segura gained some ground on Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford and second place, but he's still quite a bit behind...

Wily Peralta still working on maintaining consistency

Great American Ball Park hasn't been kind to the Milwaukee Brewers lately. First and foremost, the Cincinnati Reds have been one of the National League's best teams and are tough to beat at home. But the Brewers haven't played consistent enough baseball to earn a series win in Cincinnati in quite some time. With a chance to clinch their first road series win over the...
