WOW! In a 24-hour period so much has changed. This team is like a crazy roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain; the ups and downs of this season have fans everywhere jumping for joy one day and pulling their hair out the next. The Halos dropped the opener of their brief two game series with the Oakland Athletics but they managed to win game two for a series split. Although Tuesday’s game was just one game out of a 162 game season, it signified much more. I, like many of you, have thought this team was poised to break out numerous times this season..I actually think now is the time!
Albert Pujols went 3-for-4 on Tuesday, finally resembling the old Pujols that dominated baseball for 11 seasons in St. Louis. This was a much needed performance, not just for the Halos but for Pujols’ psyche. It’s no secret that he has looked lost at the plate recently, a 3-hit performance has to boost his confidence somewhat. Hopef...

ANAHEIM, Calif. It shouldn't be news when Albert Pujols hits a home run, but given Pujols' languid season and the circumstances of the past two days, it's worth taking notice when he does.
The shot he hit Wednesday night in the third inning against the Chicago White Sox soared into the night and landed over the fence in left-center field at Angel Stadium. You figured...
The Angels are like farmers examining every rain cloud for signs of a drought-breaking storm. Every positive at-bat from slumping first baseman Albert Pujols is examined and held onto as a sign that he is about to turn around his disappointing season. "He has a special presence in the batter's box," manager Mike Scioscia said after Pujols hit a three-run home run...
Albert Pujols has managed to end his home run drought in Los Angeles, but the numbers are still far from cutting it. A quarter of the way through the season, the $240 million man is still hitting .214 with an on-base percentage of only .248. He has driven in only 18 runs and has three homers, but Pujols is finally showing signs of life at the plate. As someone who knows plenty about...
Albert Pujols welcomed his new hitting coach to town with a go-ahead three-run homer and Vernon Wells added a two-run shot to lead the Los Angeles Angels to a 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.
Jim Eppard was with the Angels for the first time as hitting coach after replacing Mickey Hatcher, who was unceremoniously dumped Tuesday night by new general manager...
With one of his best showings at the plate this season, Albert Pujols took another step toward ending his early season struggles.
The high-priced first baseman, though, will have to continue that work and try to rediscover his power with a new hitting coach when the Los Angeles Angels begin a two-game set against the visiting Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.
Pujols is 8 for...
Will Middlebrooks has more HRs than Albert Pujols. Has the same amount of RBI (14) as Pujols. Has a better batting average. And has scored just one fewer run (9) than Pujols. Never heard of Middlebrooks? He’s the third baseman replacement while Kevin Youkilis is on the DL. This Middlebrooks character is also going to be marrying a former Cowboys cheerleader, Ann Lux, in December...
This key to the game from the Athletics/Angels broadcast is as dynamic as LAA's offense has been this season. With Albert Pujols currently on pace to fall into the Bobby Bonilla pantheon of terrible contracts after a month and a half, it may be a long season for the Halos. Then again, The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim via Orange County and Sunny Southern California went...
Was Mickey Hatcher encouraging Albert Pujols to spend 2012 doing the best Wilson Valdez impression he could? The Angels fired their long-standing hitting coach last night in an attempt to revive an offense that is on pace to set a record for futility in at least one category. It’s an understandable move in some ways; it won’t hurt to change things up even if Hatcher can hardly...
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Ervin Santana struck out nine during 7 2-3 innings of four-hit ball, Albert Pujols drove in two runs with infield singles, and the Los Angeles Angels rebounded from yet another shutout loss with a 4-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night.
Mike Trout went 3 for 4 with a homer and three runs scored for the Angels, who finally produced enough...
Albert Pujols may have beat Bryce Harper in the "first home run of 2012" race, but Harper made it to number two first. Thanks to home runs over the last two days, though, Harper and Pujols are now tied with two home runs apiece. I would be shocked to see the pair keep pace for the rest of the season, however.
Here, then, are the trots for Tuesday and Wednesday. On both...

The Halo's season has been smothered with issues from the bullpen to the line up to "Where are we supposed to put all of these outfielders...", and something clicked tonight. Whatever that something was, it led the Angels to a victory over the Chicago White Sox.Angels 7, White Sox 2 This win was the definition of a team win. The entirety of the line up made significant...
After getting shutout for the eighth time last night, the Angels responded the only way they knew how, pitching a shutout of their own. That would be the fifth time that they have been on the good end of a shutout, meaning in 13 of their 34 games this season, one team has not scored. Feel the excitement!
But seriously, this was actually a very encouraging effort from the Angels...
