Losing is a Disease, and the Braves Have It

           “The mind is a strange thing, men. We must begin by asking it ‘What is losing?’ Losing is a disease as contagious as polio…Losing is a disease as contagious as syphilis…Losing is a disease as contagious as bubonic plague, attacking one, but infecting all. But curable.”            Just as it plagued Roy Hobbs and the fictitious New York Knights in the classic baseball movie The Natural, losing has become a major issue for the Atlanta Braves. The Braves have been downright terrible in the month of September, posting an embarrassing 8-13 record in the most important  month of the entire baseball season. It seems as nothing has worked for Atlanta as of late, not even vocal urging by yours truly five days ago (the team has gone 2-3 in their games since my article).
