This was the first time in school history that the team has advanced without losing a game in the double elimination format. The Cards knocked off Bowling Green 8-3 on Friday and defeated Miami 6-4 on Saturday.
Adam Engel, Nick Ratajczak and Ty Young each drove in two runs apiece for Louisville. Left fielder CoCo Johnson went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI. Johnson was named MVP of the region.
