The man charged with attacking the wife of Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Chris Snyder has been ordered to stand trial.
A Pittsburgh judge ordered Subhash Arjanbhi Modhwadia, 44, to be tried on charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief for a traffic dispute with Carla Snyder in June.
Modhwadia was riding a scooter when he nearly collided with Snyder, causing the former to follow her to a nearby gas station.
He then kicked Snyder's vehicle while their two children were in the car and attempted to hit the woman before a bystander and off-duty police officer subdued him.
Chris Snyder had recently had back surgery and was unable to protect his wife. He was placed on the 60-day disabled list on June 9 with lower back tightness.
