HOW MUCH (FOR) YA BENCH?
If you're in the market for the dugouts from old demolished stadiums, then do we have some really good news for you.
The Seattle Mariners were all over ESPN SportsCenter this weekend. Unfortunately, for the baseball team from the Pacific Northwest, it was for all the wrong reasons. Phillip Humber threw a perfect game Saturday highlighting the White Sox’s three-game sweep of the Mariners. After a competitive series against the Indians, the Mariners did not have a lead on the White Sox until Sunday...
DID HE GO?
Philip Humber of the Chicago White Sox threw a perfect game against the Seattle Mariners this afternoon. Check out the video below of the last strike and out of the game. The umpire, Brian Runge, called the batter, Brendan Ryan, out when Ryan tried to check his swing on a 3-2 count. Judge for yourself if the umpire made the right call. The perfect game would have been ruined if Ryan...
The Seattle Mariners are in the midst of a rebuilding season. Most of the dead weight veterans have made way for the youth movement with the exception of Miguel Olivo.
The Seattle Mariner catcher is batting .111 and needs to get things going at the dish sooner than later. Olivo who is playing his second season of a two-year $7million contract, has had only two extra base hits in...
Fox never showed a different angle of Brendan Ryan's final swing/checked swing, the swing/checked swing that completed Philip Humber's perfect game. This YouTube video purports to show the final pitch from the first-base side.

The game's pitching matchup featured, Humber (0-0, 1.69 ERA) vs. Mariners RH Blake Beavan (1-1, 2.70 ERA).
Humber a 29 year old out of Nacogdoches, Texas first drafted by the Mets will...
Anyone in need of a dugout? Well, you can get the best of the best! That’s right, a Major League dugout! The original Seattle Mariners Visitor dugout from the Seattle Kingdome is for sale on Ebay. This is a tobacco chewer’s dream! Absolutely GREAT for spitting!!!
Brendan Ryan's checked-swing on the final pitch Saturday. Did he go around? Nobody knows because there is no definition of a checked-swing in the rulebook.
The perfect game pitched by Phil Humber should have an asterisk attached because of the blown check-swing strike call by umpire Brian Runge on the last out of the game.
Of course baseball does not question any of these types...
Phil Humber tossed the 21st perfect game in MLB-history defeating the Seattle Mariners, 4-0 on Saturday. The Chicago White Sox right-hander threw only 96 pitches in retiring all 27 batters to face him.
Humber became the third pitcher in team history to throw a perfect game and first MLB pitcher since Roy Halladay in 2009 to accomplish the feat.
The ninth-inning had plenty of...
