Is NY ready for the red-hot Mariners? The ole veteran Kevin Millwood is coming off his first victory in over two months, a triumph over Kansas City on Saturday.
Seattle Mariners vs New York Yankees
Friday August 3
Yankee Stadium – Bronx, New York
7:05PM
Moneyline: New York -250, Seattle +230
O/U: 9
PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners RH Kevin Millwood (4-8, 3.90 ERA) vs. Yankees LH CC Sabathia (10-3, 3.57)
SeattleSeattle is the hottest team in baseball right now. They have rattled off 7 straight wins heading into the Bronx to see their old friend Ichiro. Seattle was pretty impressive in sweeping the Blue Jays giving up a total of just 6 runs over three games.
If they can continue to pitch like that than they may be able to continue their winning way.
They are catching the Yanks at a good time though as the club has been struggling.
When Kevin Millwoodtakes the hill it is anybody’s guess what kind of performance you are going to get.

Seattle Mariners vs. NY Yankees Predictions. When Kevin Millwood takes the hill it is anybody’s guess what kind of performance you are going to get.
He certainly won’t be intimidated by the Yankees and can surprise at times such as when he beat Andy Pettitte and the Yanks when Pettitte made his debut in May. More recently he lost to the Yanks at home – but he didn’t pitch poorly.
No matter who is on the hill this game is going to be a serious test to their winning ways.
New YorkWhile the Mariners have been soaring since these teams met and swapped last week the Yankees have been struggling. They lost back to back series against Boston and Baltimore breaking a 4 game losing streak on Wednesday night.
This team is still the top slugging team in the Majors and against a team like Seattle a couple of homers may be all it needs to grab a victory.
There is so much money being thrown at players these days but for value you have to like big C.C. Sabathia. He may not put up the gaudy numbers of some other aces but for consistency he is hard to beat.
At home he is especially sharp and only once all season has he pitched less than 6 innings.
His last outing was his worst of the season – for whatever that is worth.
I doubt that he is tiring.
O/U Pick: Under
Score Prediction: New York 5 – Seattle 1
Feel like a longshot bet do ya? Well Seattle homers a $9 bets wins you $20 today with these odds. So go for it! haha
