Gambling Insight M’s vs Yankees Game 1 Is NY ready for the red-hot Mariners? The ole veteran Kevin Millwood is coming off his first victory in over two months, a triumph over Kansas City on Saturday. Seattle Mariners vs New York Yankees
Friday August 3
Yankee Stadium – Bronx, New York
7:05PM
Moneyline: New York -250, Seattle +230
O/U: 9 PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners RH Kevin Millwood (4-8, 3.90 ERA) vs. Yankees LH CC Sabathia (10-3, 3.57) Matchup | Preview Seattle Seattle is the hottest team in baseball right now. They have rattled off 7 straight wins heading into the Bronx to see their old friend Ichiro. Seattle was pretty impressive in sweeping the Blue Jays giving up a total of just 6 runs over three games. If they can continue to pitch like that than they may be able to continue their winning way. They are catching the Yanks at a good time though as the club has been struggling. When Kevin Millwoodtakes the hill it is anybody’s guess what kind of performance you are going to get. Seattle Mariners vs. NY Yankees Predictions. When Kevin Millwood takes the hill it is anybody’s guess what kind of performance you are going to get. He certainly won’t be intimidated by the Yankees and can surprise at times such as when he beat Andy Pettitte and the Yanks when Pettitte made his debut in May. More recently he lost to the Yanks at home – but he didn’t pitch poorly. No matter who is on the hill this game is going to be a serious test to their winning ways. New York While the Mariners have been soaring since these teams met and swapped last week the Yankees have been struggling. They lost back to back series against Boston and Baltimore breaking a 4 game losing streak on Wednesday night. This team is still the top slugging team in the Majors and against a team like Seattle a couple of homers may be all it needs to grab a victory. There is so much money being thrown at players these days but for value you have to like big C.C. Sabathia. He may not put up the gaudy numbers of some other aces but for consistency he is hard to beat. At home he is especially sharp and only once all season has he pitched less than 6 innings.
His last outing was his worst of the season – for whatever that is worth.
I doubt that he is tiring. O/U Pick: Under
Score Prediction: New York 5 – Seattle 1 Feel like a longshot bet do ya? Well Seattle homers a $9 bets wins you $20 today with these odds. Yankees’ Facebook page hacked, said Derek Jeter would miss season with sex change operation

The New York Yankees’ Facebook page was hacked on Thursday afternoon and the hacker left a rather hilarious message. As seen above, the message told fans that Derek Jeter would miss the rest of the season to have a sex change operation and that he would be back next season as Minnie Mantlez. As website owners we obviously frown upon hacking, but if you’re going to break into...

Mariners hope new game plays as well on the road

The new-look Mariners finally found a way to win at home. They are coming off their first eight-win homestand in more than a decade. It remains to be seen if they can carry that momentum over into a nine-game trip that starts in Yankee Stadium on Friday. There seems to be a turnaround in the offense that bodes well. Through July 15, the team was averaging .196 at Safeco Field...

Yankee Stadium debuts Ichiro-inspired food

If anything can be taken from Ichiro Suzuki’s stint thus far with the New York Yankees, it’s that the 38 year old star still has some left in the tank. Apparently the Yanks feel quite good about acquiring him, and are now paying tribute to him with his own food dish at Yankee Stadium. MLB.com reported that the “Suzuki Roll” has made its debut, much to the delight of fans...

Yankees almost feel like they got something for nothing

Several teams around baseball attempted to pry away bullpen help from opposing teams at the July 31 trade deadline. The Yankees added a star caliber reliever without having to part with any cash or any prospects. Here’s how it plays out in the Brad Pitt movie: It’s the ninth inning of game seven, the 2012 World Series. Yanks down by one. BP Unfiltered: How Not to Field a Foul Ball from the Stands by Ben Lindbergh

In the first inning of Friday's Yankees-Mariners game, Curtis Granderson pulled a 1-0 pitch from Kevin Millwood foul to the right side of the field. A fan tried to field it. But instead of fielding it, he fell on the field, and he took some of the stands with him. In slow motion, from another angle. He and his friends were amused. Curtis Granderson was also amused....

Yankee Ship Gets Righted !

Save for a frantic call to the Coast Guard, the Yankee ship would have sunk.We let the big, expensive one find its way to the bottom of the sea but, thanks to a good hearted and forward thinking owner, we salvaged a floater. It may take a while to reach shore now, but with light winds and a favorable sea, we can make progress and stay afloat. As you can see, the margin for error remains...
