On 710 AM ESPN Seattle radio Tuesday afternoon, Crasnick said Fielder probably won’t be calling Safeco [...]

The Mariners announced the contract on Tuesday. It will be his second stint with the Mariners, although Heilman's first season in Seattle never got started as he was traded to the Chicago Cubs before the 2009 season began.
Former Mariners star Edgar Martinez received 36.5 percent of the votes cast for the Hall of Fame, well short of the 75 percent needed. He realizes it will be a long, slow, climb if he makes it to the hall.
