The Miami Marlins have retained the services of Greg Dobbs, signing the veteran third baseman to a two-year contract worth $3 million.Dobbs signed a minor-league contract with the Marlins last offseason, then won a starting job with the club. He finished with a .275 batting average, eight home runs and 49 RBIs in 411 at-bats.Dobbs has also played for the Seattle Mariners and the Philadelphia Phillies in his eight-year major-league career.The 33-year-old's best season came in 2007, when he belted 10 homers and added 55 RBIs for the Phillies.
