The Miami Marlins and Colorado Rockies ended significant droughts in their most recent contests, giving the last-place teams something to be proud of during otherwise disappointing seasons. Colorado looks to win four in a row for just the second time this season when it opens a four-game series against the visiting Marlins on Thursday night. Miami (53-65) had been shut out three straight times before Greg Dobbs ended a franchise-record 30-inning scoreless streak with an RBI single in the fourth inning of Wednesday's 9-2 win over Philadelphia. Dobbs also added a go-ahead solo homer in the sixth to help Mark Buehrle pick up his 10th win for the Marlins, who had scored nine runs in their previous five games. "The rest of the starters were giving me a hard time because we finally scored on my time - 'It must be nice to get some runs,'" Buehrle said. "It's always nice to get some early runs."
