It’s pretty amazing that the Pirates have cut ties with two left-handed reliever in two days, but I guess that just shows how much they thought of them. Yesterday, Daniel Moskos was DFA’d to make...
From Tuesday night:
Luckily, the Pirates did a CT scan on Gerrit Cole and the results came back negative for a concussion. His only symptom is a bruised jaw.
A.J. Burnett guided the Pittsburg Prates to a 5-4 triumph over the Phillies yesterday at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The 35-year-old Burnett, who has gone 9-2 with a 3.31 ERA in 13 starts, managed to become the first Pirates … Continue reading →

The bad news is tonight’s game was rough. ”They outplayed us again tonight,” Clint Hurdle said after the game. The Pirates left 17 runners on base, blowing far too many scoring opportunities. Erik Bedard gave up 4 runs, and Juan Cruz gave up 1. The Pirates’ first 2 hitters, Jose Tabata and Neil Walker, were [...]

Through three games, this series at Citizen's Bank Park has not followed a path that the Pirates are likely very likely to be pleased with. Monday's game was a brutal and sloppy mess, Tuesday's game was a winnable one that slipped away, and last night was very nearly an epic disaster. All that being said, with a win today the Pirates escape Philadelphia with a split...
