NEW YORK—Daniel Murphy continued his timely hitting from the fifth spot in the order with a two-run first inning single and starter R.A. Dickey pitched into the ninth inning as the New York Mets took a 3-1 win Sunday over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Mets manager Terry Collins, seeking more production from the middle of the order with both Lucas Duda and Ike Davis struggling at home, moved Murphy to the fifth spot Saturday, when Murphy went 4-for-4 in a 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks. Murphy picked up where he left off by lacing a two-out single in the first to score Andres Torres and David Wright in front of an announced crowd of 29,107 at Citi Field. The second baseman is hitting .375 (24-for-64) at Citi Field this season. The Mets added their third run in the fourth when Davis drew a two-out walk, Ruben Tejada beat out an infield single and Josh Thole singled home Davis. Tejada was the only Met with multiple hits.
