It certainly seems like I’ve been saying this a lot, especially lately, but wow.  Tonight was a wow game for the Mets as they put together back-to-back come back road wins over the Phillies.  Oh, and once again, David Wright was integral in the come back. Tonight the Mets fell into a quick 4-0 hole, but fought all the way back scoring 7 unanswered runs to top the Phillies 7-4.  The Mets were aided by an error from Pete Orr.  After a Wright RBI single, he was caught in a rundown between first and third, but due to some base running pressure applied by Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Pete Orr tried to nab Captain Kirk leaning of third.  However, instead of  catching Nieuwenhuis, Orr threw the ball away allowing another run to score and letting the Mets climb all the way back into the game.  The big offensive stars tonight for the Mets were Lucas Duda, Wright and Captain Kirk who seemed to be in the middle of everything for the team tonight. The bullpen did a great job tonight, holding the Phillies to only 2 hits in 4 and 2/3 innings of work.  Miguel Batista did his job tonight, keeping the Mets in it.  I can’t say I love watching Batista pitch or anything, but if he can keep the team in the game, I’d rather see him take the mound that Chris Schwinden.  Sorry, Chris. The Mets look for the sweep in Philly tomorrow night sending Dillon Gee to the hill against Cliff Lee at 7:05. Let’s go Mets.
