Sorry for the title, it wasn’t intended to be serious, but more of a retort I’ve been giving a lot of Met fans lately who seem to be in a rush to trade Wilmer Flores. A notion I find to be highly illogical given the precarious offensive dilemma the Mets find themselves in.
I had a cool exchange with Michael Baron of MetsBlog a few days ago and I think it goes to my point.

Mike Puma of the New York Post, confirms what most of us know already and that is while the Mets farm system is rich with (right-handed) pitching prospects, it is very thin with position players. I interjected right-handed pitching prospects because we have a dearth of left-handed pitching prospects and could use more.
