This maybe a moot point as Ken Davidoff of Newsday is reporting that Tejada has support in the clubhouse to make the team. By the way for those of us who were concerned with starting Tejada's clock for only a month, Ken tweeted me yesterday that he didn't think Tejada was the level player you worried about his FA clock.But if the Mets did decide they thought Tejada was too green to go north they have a veteran short stop with more range then Cora who just was the hero of his first game today. The strange thing is that win came in the Buffalo Bisons first spring training game. The end of last month the Mets signed Alex Cintron to a minor league deal, the 31 y/o switch hitter is a lifetime .275 hitter who plays 2b/ss. Cintron wasn't even invited to major league camp but he sure made a name for himself with the Bisons.
