Mets Lineup is to Left handed

The Mets lineup has not changed much from 2008. The lineup needs some balancing and that where you could benefit from having Manny Ramirez in the lineup.

But the Mets have proclaimed that big name free agent's are off the board at this point.

Here is the Mets projected lineup:

1)Reyes- SS - S
2)Castillo- 2B - S
3)Wright- 3B - R
4)Delgado- 1B - L
5)Beltran- CF - S
6)Church- RF - L
7)Murphy- LF - L
8)Schneider- C - L

In house solutions who could fill in against lefties:

Nick Evans 1B/OF - From what I took from last year, this guy can hit lefties and not so much right handers. He can replace Delgado in the lineup from time to time.

Fernando Tatis - OF/1F - He will definitely platoon with Murphy in left....

Angel Pagan - OF - He was very impressive last year before his injury. Can spell Church from time to time, but without the pop in his bat. Also provides speed off the bench...

Ramon Castro - C - Castro has been on the trading block of late and I can't see the Mets going with 3 catchers this season. The Mets will either trade him or start him against lefties..

Robinson Cancel - C - Cancel either will be the Mets odd man out or the backup to Schneider if the Mets trade Castro.

In addition to that, the Mets have to find out who is going to be the other lefthander in the pen.. Expect a minor league deal to solidify the bench or lefty spot in the pen..
