Found December 14, 2008 on Dom D's Mets Fan Blog:
According to Joel Sherman of the NY Post, the Mets still have interest in Derek Lowe. Sherman Feels that the Mets are still in it for Lowe , even though the Mets think that Lowe's price will be around the $15 Million dollar per year mark.

The Mets would like to re-sign Oliver Perez preferably to a 3 year, 39 Million dollar contract. The Mets seem to think that Randy Wolf is a back up option.

It all remains to be seen what the market holds for Lowe as it has not been set yet. Once that is established then that will dictate either they have a chance in Lowe or can pay for Perez, or use the fallback option in Wolf.
