Last night in New York, Yankees pitcher Hiroki Kuroda took a no-hitter into the 7th inning against the Rangers.  The no-hitter was broken up, but Kuroda pitched a complete game shutout in a 3-0 victory. So who's to blame for having Kuroda's chance at history being spoiled?

Why naturally, Yankees announcer Michael Kay.

We've chronicled some of Kay's battles on Twitter before, and this time he fired a tweet during the game directed at those who blamed him for jinxing Kuroda's no-no.

You all must be kidding me! Do you rationally believe an announcer can end a no hitter? Nonsense. I've got a job to do here.

— Michael Kay (@RealMichaelKay) August 15, 2012

Kay also retweeted several people on both sides of the "announcers can jinx a no-hitter" fence including a few that placed the blame squarely on his shoulders like this one.

@realmichaelkay yup. Blood on your hands *******. Met you couple years ago at BC graduation, still think you're a clown

To that point, Kay summed up the absurdity of believing in an announcer's jinxing capabilities as some sort of apocalyptic sign...

And that is what we deal with. They are out there. In force. We should be very afraid. Amazing world.

Believe it or not, I'm 100% in agreement with Michael Kay.  Yankee fan - if you believe Michael Kay is to blame for breaking up Hiroki Kuroda's no-hitter... AND you take the time to send a nasty tweet to him voicing that blame.... you'd better serve the greater good shutting yourself off from civilization and waiting with a baseball bat for the Boogieman to come out of your closet.  Good luck.
