Texas third baseman Michael Young got the heads up that he might be starting tonight's game Monday night from manager Joe Maddon. He got confirmation Tuesday morning as Evan Longoria's right finger was still bothering him. So in his sixth All-Star trip, Young gets his first start and will bat seventh behind teammate Josh Hamilton. "It means a lot," Young said. "It's unfortunate it has to happen because of an injury. I'm going to play hard and try to help us win this ball game," One thing starting will hurt is Young's ability to deliver late in All-Star games. He's driven in the winning run twice.
