Youk has missed 3 games with a "minor" back injury, as a result, the Sox have called up Jose Iglesias to back-up the infield. To make room, Tazawa has been sent back down to the Pawsox.

Third baseman, Will Middlebrooks has been on a tear to start the season in Pawtucket and his call up to Boston was imminent. A recent set-back by way of a minor thumb injury has given Jose Iglesias another stint in the big leagues.

In Pawtucket, Iglesias is batting .200, with a double, 5 RBI, and has 4 steals in 5 opportunities.

This move brings more disappointment than excitement. Middlebrooks was putting on a show and we were all waiting to see what he could do in Boston. He'll be up eventually, but until then, lets try to enjoy the Jose Iglesias show.

In addition to that transaction, Lars Anderson was again optioned to Pawtucket with no other call up. Could it be Aaron Cook? Could it be someone that will be in a trade for Aaron Cook? We will have to wait to find out.
