The last time I saw Miguel Buendia (7-1, 4KO’s) it was only three short months ago when he knocked out the tough Abraham Esquivel (4-2) in the fifth round. Buendia is coming into this fight after two consecutive knockouts and appears to be in great shape according to his own statement on our own Combat Sports TV interview. He is also coming into this fight after being part of the NTF 2011 Boxing Fight of The Year with his fight against the all-out slugger and killer left hook artist, Fernando Rodriguez (6-9).
This time the “Fighting Marine” will be part of the main event on the card and he will face Angel “El Picosito” Rodriguez (5-7, 4KO‘s) at the Fort Worth Convention Center this Saturday night in Fort Worth, Texas. Rodriguez’ last fight was at the Winstar where he put on a slugfest against the undefeated Jesse Roman (8-0) on the undercard of Dallas’ own Roberto Marroquin fight.
