Your browser does not support iframes. There are some players who don’t need a month of practice games to get prepared for the season. Miguel Cabrera is one of those guys. The Detroit Tigers stud turned on a 1-2 fastball from Jonathan Papelbon during the top of the 5th inning Monday against the Phillies for a 3-run home run. Papelbon left the fastball up and it ran in on Cabrera, who didn’t even take a stride and just mashed it with his fast hands. The ball cleared the bullpens beyond left field at Bright House Field in Clearwater and went over one of the food huts. Miggy already has two home runs this spring and continues to show why he’s the best hitter in baseball. This was Papelbon’s first work of the spring, so he has plenty of time to get himself ready. Detroit Tigers slugger (and 2012 American League MVP) Miguel Cabrera stars in the latest MLB Fan Cave video to get you ready for a new season of major league baseball. The video, which also stars Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, borrows the tune of the Rihanna hit "Diamonds" while using baseball-themed lyrics and some autotuning to welcome the major leaguers...

Miguel Cabrera Blasts Mammoth Home Run Off Jonathan Papelbon: Video

Miguel Cabrera’s home-run swing already appears to be in Triple Crown form. Two days after launching his first long ball of the spring, Cabrera took Phillies reliever Jonathan Papelbon way downtown, clearing a line of concession stands out behind deep left-center field at Philadelphia’s park. “That is one of the longest home runs you’re going to see here at Bright House Field...

Miguel Cabrera Crushes 450 Foot Home Run

Detroit Tigers star and reigning Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera seems to be off to a good start in spring training. In an exhibition against the Philadelphia Phillies, Cabrera smashes a pitch from Jonathan Papelbon into the parking lot. Keep in mind that it’s about 389 feet to left-center field and this ball looks like it’s still climbing when it clears it. An absolute monster...

Video: Miguel Cabrera destroyed this poor little baseball

Reigning AL MVP Miguel Cabrera gave the fans something to enjoy in the Detroit Tigers exhibition game against the Phlilies. He absolutely destroyed a Jonathan Papelbon fastball that was up in the zone. Your browser does not support iframes. Yeah, it might not be for real, but that was a mammoth shot. Had to be close to 500 feet. Miggy is looking quite sleek these days, which may...

Miguel Cabrera crushes home run off Jonathan Papelbon (VIDEO)

It’s February 25 and Miguel Cabrera is in mid-season form. Monday afternoon, he turned around a Jonathan Papelgoof fastball and deposited over the left field bleachers at Bright House Field, the Phillies’ spring training home in Clearwater, Florida. Bottle it and bring that up north, man.

Papelbon Gets Shelled, Phils Lose 10-1 to Tigers

Jonathan Papelbon gave up six earned in 2/3 of an inning as the Phillies lost to the Tigers 10-1. The Good For a 10-1 loss, this could have been a lot worse. Cliff Lee pitched a hitless two innings with two Ks and Tyler Cloyd followed with two hitless innings of his own. Phillippe Aumont was sharp in his hitless inning, registering a strikeout. Ryan Howard continued his solid play...

Miguel Cabrera and Jonathan Papelbon: Baseball Play Analysis

They say that, when it comes to understanding anything about the subsequent regular season, you should never pay attention to numbers in March. That’s good advice, and it doesn’t even bother to mention numbers in February. Today is February 25, spring-training competition has only just begun, and nothing matters. To whatever extent any baseball matters, February baseball matters...

CONFIRMED: Miguel Cabrera is still really good at baseball (Video of him hitting baseball out of solar system)

In 2012, Miguel Cabrera won the AL MVP and became the first player since Carl Yastrzemski (1967) to win the Triple Crown. And it doesn't appear as though he'll slow down on destroying baseballs in 2013. In Grapefruit League action on Monday against the Phillies, the Tigers' star hit a very, very long home run: Your browser does not support iframes. Get the...

Cabrera hits 2nd HR for Tigers in win over Phils

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) -- Miguel Cabrera already looks ready for opening day. Jonathan Papelbon seems to still have some work ahead. Cabrera hit a booming, three-run homer off Papelbon as the Detroit Tigers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 10-1 Monday. The AL MVP and Triple Crown winner went 1 for 2 with a walk. He's hit two home runs this spring. "It's nice to hit that...

Odd video parody of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” featuring Miguel Cabrera

Whether it’s the Matthew Stafford Monday Night Football or Justin Verlander MLB 2k12 commercials, I usually find these spots featuring Detroit athletes pretty entertaining with some level of comedic value. However this parody video of “Diamonds” by Rihanna featuring Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is just downright weird… I am interested though in seeing a Phil Coke impersonation...

Miguel Cabrera and Adam Jones in Rihanna’s “Diamond” parody (VIDEO)

Tigers Tripler Crownee Miguel Cabrera and Orioles center fielder Adam Jones combined to drum up this beauty of a video parodying Rihanna’s jam “Diamonds.” The revamped lyrics couldn’t be worse, but the acting is dead nuts. If this doesn’t get you in the mood for a little romance baseball, nothing will. via Tyler Hissey

MLB Players perform remix of Rhianna’s “Diamonds”

In order to get the fan’s excited about the upcoming start of the Major League Baseball season, the MLB Fan Cave has been releasing videos starring MLB Players performing spoofs of songs and in some cases movie scenes.  There’s really no way to describe this video with Miguel Cabrera and Adam Jones, so you’re just going to have to watch their spoof of “Diamonds.” [Fan Cave]

Domonic Brown clears the batters eye

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder is (inexplicably) fighting for a job this winter after the team signed veteran Delmon Young (who hasn't played in a spring game yet after offseason ankle surgery). Brown is having himself a solid spring so far, and on Tuesday, he hit his second homer of the preseason. This shot, a solo blast off of Zach Nuding of the Yankees, actually cleared...
