Milwaukee Brewers will finally win a championship in Wisconsin.  It’s going to happen this year and it’s going to be amazing.  Like the super bowl for two weeks.  It’s going to be off the hook crazy.

So, you don’t believe it.  I understand.  We haven’t won one yet…and we lost Prince.

But hell, it’s Spring.  Hope is here.  Hell,  losersbracket.com lifted the curse of the Bears jersey at Miller park and it got us within 2 games of the world series.  Now it’s time to win the whole s.o.b.

Ok.. ok… you want FACTS.  I’ll give you facts.

Pitching.  Pitching is the key to the world series ring.  Pitching is EXACTLY the same as last year.  Nothing has changed in the bullpen or in the starting rotation.  And these guys are not washed up veterans (insert Boston Celtics/New York Yankees joke here).    So we won 96 games with these guys.  I don’t see any career seasons from any of the guys.  Marcum can’t blow up again late in the year, so that’s good.   But this PUTS US OVER THE TOP.  “Winning!”   Better defense.  That’s right boys and girls better defense.  Aramis Ramirez is an upgrade over Casey (so glad he is gone) and Alex Gonzalez and Mat Gamel are big improvements defensively at their positions.  Take in another year with the Captain Morgan and Carlos “Spaz” Gomez as anchors in center field and we should be MUCH better defensively.

Lineup

Weekes in the one hole.  The most potent lead off man hits with power and speed.  Not a traditional #1 lead off guy, but who cares.  This guy can rake.  .350 obp and 20-25 home runs a year.  Set and match.

Captain (against lefties) in the two spot.  DON’T FORGET TO GET YOUR PLUSH SHIRT HERE.  The ignitor will lead this team again. Imagine another .300 year with a .350 obp.  Nyjer was not used to playing over 100 games a season until last year, and faded at the end.  His numbers should actually improve as he gets better later in the year.

Ryan Braun.  Guy is going to play possessed.   Like he is juiced on testo$terone.  (Is that a bad analogy?)  Anyways, a mad MVP with something to prove is going to be fun to watch.

Aramis Ramirez (not your aramis, myaramis)  Anyways, .361 obp with 26 dongs and a .304 average with a horrible Cubs team.  Imagine when he is motivated this year.  Give me 15 more dongs and boom!  Fielder who?

Corey Hart (dog)  Corey is a bit dinged up, but hey we are used to that.  A five hitter with speed and power?  You bet.  .285, 26 and a .356 obp in the 5 spot.  WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER.

Mat (where’s the T) Gamel in the 6 hole.  No pressure, big numbers.  This year’s David Frieze finally gets his daily shot to mirror his monster minor league numbers in the big park.  A guy like this needs to play daily.

Alex Gonzalez and Lucroy.  Typical 7 and 8 hitters.  Yawn.  Oh and then our awesome hitting pitching staff.  This team will score runs!

Bonus credits:   Norichika Aoki and Taylor Green can absolutely crank.  And will.  Great replacement day fillers that will turn out some needed runs in the dog days of summer.  Aoki, think a poor man’s Ichiro and Taylor Green as a young Paul Molitor.  Not bad for backups!

Coaching:  Ronnie Roenicke is in his 2nd year.  Watch for that to equate to a couple wins.

Done.

Bring home the banner, we got plenty of room.
