Indy: lost to Charlotte, 8-4. Jeremy Powell gave up 4 runs in 4.1 innings. Brandon Moss (.241) and Doug Bernier (.176) both went 2 for 4 with a double each. Brian Myrow (.225) went 1 for 3 with a homer. Altoona: beat Reading, 5-2. Rudy Owens had another solid start, going 6 innings and surrendering 2 runs on 4 hits. The runs were on a 2 run homer. Rudy’s ERA is at a nice 3.07 for the year. Matt Hague (.304) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Hector Gimenez (.330) went 1 for 3 with another home run (8). Bradenton: got crushed by Tampa, 14-5. Strickland gave up 8 runs in 2.1 innings. Wow. Brock Holt (.335), Tony Sanchez (.327) and Robbie Grossman (.227) all went 2 for 5. Sanchez had a double and 3 RBIs. Calvin Anderson (.287) went 3 for 4. West Virginia: got shut out by Hickory, 8-0. Kyle McPherson gave up 4 runs in 5.1 innings.
