Luis Heredia will take the mound for the fourth time this season, looking to pick up his second win. Indianapolis has an early afternoon start today. Altoona is now on their All-Star break. Heredia threw five shutout innings in his season debut (Photo Credit: Nick Scala) AAA: Indianapolis (59-34) @ Columbus (41-51) 12:05pm Probable starter: Andy Oliver (5-2, 3.12) Yesterday’s Result: Columbus 4, Indianapolis 0 Andy Oliver will make his 19th start of the season this afternoon. He has pitched a total of 95.1 innings, allowing 69 hits, four homers and 81 walks. Oliver has struck out 101 batters, while posting a 1.19 GO/AO ratio and a .205 BAA. In his last start, he threw 6.2 shutout innings, giving up four hits, four walks and he had six strikeouts. Oliver leads the International League in walks with 24 more than the second worst total. He also leads the league in strikeouts, five more than the second best total. AA: Altoona (39-50) @ Akron (44-46) 7:05pm 7/11 Probable starter: TBD Yesterday’s Result: Altoona was off Altoona is currently on their All-Star break. They resume play on Thursday. The Curve are in last place in their division, trailing first place Harrisburg by ten games. High-A: Bradenton (32-54 overall, 6-12 2nd half) @ Palm Beach (40-46) 6:35pm Probable starter: Adrian Sampson (3-5, 5.75) Yesterday’s Result: Palm Beach 6, Bradenton 2 Adrian Sampson will make his 16th start of the season tonight. He has also pitched once in relief. Sampson has pitched a total of 83 innings, allowing 110 hits, which is the highest total in the organization. He has given up 16 homers, which is also the highest total among Pirates pitchers. Sampson has 14 walks, 49 strikeouts, a 1.16 GO/AO ratio and a .318 BAA. He lasted just four innings in his last start, giving up six runs on nine hits, three were home runs. Sampson’s previous start was against Palm Beach. He went 5.2 innings, allowing five runs on ten hits. Low-A: West Virginia (46-41 overall, 9-8 2nd half) @ Kannapolis (34-52) 7:05pm Probable starter: Luis Heredia (1-1, 1.93) Yesterday’s Result: West Virginia 3, Kannapolis 1 Luis Heredia will make his fourth start of the season tonight. In his first outing, he threw five shutout innings, allowing one hit and four walks, while striking out five batters. In his second outing, Heredia gave up two runs over four innings. He has an 0.75 GO/AO ratio and a .208 BAA. Short-Season A: Jamestown (14-8) @ Hudson Valley (13-10) 7:05pm Probable Starter: TBD Yesterday’s Result: Jamestown 5, Batavia 2 No starter has been named for tonight’s Jamestown game yet. Rookie:  GCL Pirates (7-8) vs GCL Blue Jays (8-6) 12:00pm Probable Starter:  Jon Sandfort (1-0, 1.00) Yesterday’s Result: Pirates 10, Yankees1 2 Jon Sandfort will make his second start of the season. He has also pitched once in relief. In his lone start five days ago, Sandfort threw four innings without allowing a hit or walk and he struck out six batters. He hit one batter in that game. In his season opener, which came out of the bullpen, he threw three scoreless innings. He gave up two hits, no walks and struck out three batters. Sandfort was a third round draft last year. He pitched 15 innings in the GCL last season, allowing 11 hits, ten walks and he struck out seven batters. He had an 0-1, 4.80 record.
