John Maine turned in his best performance of the season last night

AAA: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees
John Maine was lights out tonight in shutting down the Pawtucket Red Sox. The veteran righty pitched seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit along the way. The effort was good for his fifth victory of the season. Ryota Igarashi would record his sixth save despite allowing the only run to Pawtucket. Ronnier Mustelier returned from the disabled list last night, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Eduardo Nunez and Kosuke Fukudome led the team with two hits apiece. Chris Dickerson extended his hitting streak to seven games.

High-A: Tampa Yankees
Jose A. Ramirez rebounded from a terrible outing against Lakeland, turning in six innings of two-run baseball. He would allow seven hits on the day, while striking out five and earning his fifth victory of the season. Jeremy Bleich would take the ball from Ramirez, turning in two perfect innings of relief before allowing Kramer Sneed to finish the game out. Offensively, everyone but Tyler Austin and Jose Mojica had a hit. Kyle Roller and Hector Rabago did the most damage for the Yankees with two RBIs apiece, with Rabago’s coming by way of a two-run home run in the eighth inning.

Low-A: Charleston RiverDogs
Fifth-round pick Rob Refsnyder led Charleston with three hits, including a three-run home run in the top of the ninth which tied the game up at three. However, Refsnyder’s breakout performance wouldn’t be enough, as Greenville won in eleven innings on a walk-off home run. Charleston’s pitchers did fare relatively well yesterday, with starter Scottie Allen giving up three runs in five innings of work. After Allen left, Fred Lewis turned in three hitless innings. Pedro Guerra pitched two shutout innings before allowing the game-winning home run to start the 11th inning.
