Wang deals (Photo: CitizensVoice.com) Triple-A: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Columbus 4, SWB 1 Chien-Ming Wang allowed three runs on four hits over 6.2 innings, but did not benefit from much run support as the RailRiders fell to the Clippers, dropping to 9-10 on the season. Just one of Wang’s runs was earned, keeping his ERA at a stingy 0.75 as his record fell to 1-1. The RailRiders collected eight hits, including two apiece from David Adams and Gil Velazquez, but the lone run came off the bat of Austin Romine who took Rob Bryson deep in the 9th for his first home run of the year. The RailRiders will look to get back on the winning side in the third game of a four-game set vs. the Clippers tomorrow evening. Class-A: Charleston RiverDogs West Virginia 7, Charleston 0 The West Virginia Power avoided a sweep tonight, blanking the RiverDogs at The Joe, 7-0. Charleston mustered just five hits as Joely Rodriguez, Ryan Hafner, and Kyle Haynes held the bats in check. The Power had no such problem at the plate. Using a 6-run 2nd inning, West Virginia broke the game open and cruised the rest of the way. Daniel Camarena went five innings while allowing all seven runs, five of them earned, for his first loss of the year. The Dogs will look to rebound tomorrow evening when they open a four game series at home vs. the Kannapolis Intimidators.
