Milton
The Seattle Mariners called every team in baseball to see if they would be interested in trading for Milton Bradley. Apparently no one wanted the perennial bad boy of baseball on their roster. Now with no other options, the Mariners released Bradley. Bradley was designated for assignment last week and since he has added struggling on the field to his struggles off of the field, no one wanted any part of his $12 million contract regardless of how much the Mariners were willing to eat of it. Bradley can now be signed as a free agent for about $250,000 for the rest of 2011. Don't expect teams to be lining up for his services though. He has not been productive since 2009 and with his history of off the field antics, a minor league contract may be his best offer. If he gets one at all.
