If the Miami Marlins are truly serious about rebuilding their team they should put All-Star right fielder Giancarlo Stanton on the trade block, says Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports. Were Loria not some megalomaniacal charlatan, he already would've complemented the Marlins' latest salary dump with a move that makes far more baseball sense: trading Giancarlo Stanton, the power-hitting leviathan whose value never will be higher than it is right now. Once you get past the part where Passan calls Marlins’ owner Jeffrey Loria a “megalomaniacal charlatan” you’ll notice that he calls for the team to trade Stanton. If Miami doesn’t intend on re-signing the slugger, than he should be dealt as his value “never will be higher than it is right now,” according to Passan. According to sources who have inquired on Stanton, the 23-year-old isn’t available yet. He’s already indicated that he wasn’t happy with the team’s fire-sale, and he’s probable already priced
