The B-Mets won in dramatic style on Sunday as Josh Rodriguez laced a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to bring home Pedro Zapata and give Binghamton a 2-1 victory over the Harrisburg Senators at NYSEG Stadium. It was the first walk-off win of the season for the B-Mets.
Greg Peavey started for Binghamton and delivered his best start of the season. Peavey tossed seven innings and allowed just an unearned run on four hits and a walk while fanning three. He didn’t figure in the decision, but did lower his ERA to 4.85 – full run lower than when he started the game.
Armando Rodriguez came out of the pen in the eighth and fired two no-hit innings and struck out one to earn his first win of the season.
The B-Mets got on the board in the fifth and tied the game 1-1 when Matt den Dekkler scampered home from third base after a throwing error to first base by Harrisburg’s catcher. Pedro Zapata had two hits in the win and den Dekker doubled, sco...
