The Red Sox have signed catcher Kelly Shoppach to a one year $1.35 million deal.  Shoppach was originally drafted by the Red Sox and played with the team in 2005 before being traded as part of the Coco Crisp Deal.  With the signing of Shoppach, it is very unlikely that Jason Varitek will be back.
