Derek Jeter has a lot of personal accomplishments. He’s a Rookie of the Year, a All-Star game MVP and a World Series MVP, he’s won five championships and now can add doctor to his resume.
That’s because Siena will give Jeter an honoary doctorate during its commencement this May 13, according to an AP report.
Siena gave Jeet the fugazi degree, “in recognition of his leadership, accomplishments on the baseball field and dedication to improving the lives of young people through his Turn 2 Foundation.” Jeter said he will honor it as highly as any of his accomplishments.
So there is The Captain, Mr. November, the Bi-racial Angel, and now – Doctor Jeter.
