While I was watching the Yankees take down the Cleveland Indians last night (thanks, in part, to that thrilling grand slam by Mark Teixeira), I filled out my first (and probably last) All Star Ballot. For some reason, I'm not "into" voting this year. In fact, I'm not into the entire All Star Game experience this year. Perhaps it's because the festivities will take place at Citi Field or, maybe I'm just sick of an exhibition game "counting." I don't know for sure. I just know that I don't really care about it this year. That being said, I did put some thought into how I voted. My only criteria were batting average and, to a lesser extent, name recognition and overall body of work. Here's my ballot:American League1B Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles2B Robinson Cano, New York Yankees3B Miguel Cabrera, Detroit TigersSS Jhonny Peralta, Detroit TigersC Joe Mauer, Minnesota TwinsOF Adam Jones, Baltimore OriolesOF Nick Markakis, Baltimore Orioles...
