Video: Gio Gonzalez gets Gatorade shower, bucket on his head, shaving cream pie

"When you get something like that, it's an honor to get Gatorade dumped on your head. But not the Gatorade bucket." (Gio Gonzalez, via MASN, 8/31/2012) Up above, the video (via MLB.com) of Gio Gonzalez getting a trifecta of Gatorade shower, then the bucket on his head with shaving cream smiley face from Michael Morse, and a towel full of shaving cream to the face...

Here's Gio Gonzalez with a Gatorade bucket on his head

What better way to celebrate your 17th win of the season, and first career shutout, than with a Gatorade shower, bucket on the head, and shaving cream pie. Congrats to Gio Gonzalez.

156 1/3: "We’re going to have to have a sit-down and talk here soon."

And so, Stephen Strasburg has just more starts to go before Shutdown Day. Strasburg's final start of 2012 will be Sept. 12: "I’m just focused on the next start. That’s all I can really focus on right now. We’re going to have to have a sit-down and talk here soon. . . . I just don’t have anything to say. I’m in it with these guys, and we...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Stephen Strasburg allowed two hits over six scoreless innings, striking out nine before being pulled Sunday as the Washington Nationals beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3. Strasburg upset about Sept. 12 shutdown date

If there is one pitcher who looks as if he does not need to be shut down, it is Washington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg. Rebounding from his worst outing of the season, Strasburg subdued the St. Louis Cardinals in six shutout innings Sunday. Although he did not get the win because of the Cardinals' late rally, his work was a nice bounceback after he surrendered...

Nats' racing presidents go Gangnam Style

Guess it was only a matter of time before the Racing Presidents took advantage of the Gangnam Style thing. (Video above, via lfahome, of course.) Not surprisingly, Teddy lost. And even less surprisingly, the Nationals failed to hold runners on, and it came back to bite in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Cardinals. In keeping with the Gangnam theme: earlier this week FOX got in...
