Washington Nationals pitcher, Gio Gonzalez, has joined a running list of male athletes who have dabbled in fashion design. Gonzalez first teamed up with Modell’s Sporting Goods last Fall, to create two t-shirt styles specifically for the D.C. area.
Now the Nats lefty has expanded his fashion efforts. According to WWD, he will begin selling a collection of men’s, women’s and children’s tees. Among the featured styles will be crew necks, crop tops, v-necks and tanks, designed with graphics representative of the sport. The line is meant to represent Gio’s “heritage and background encompassing baseball and old-fashioned street ball.” Items will be sold through the newly launched TheHouseOfLeagues.com and will retail from $24-$68..
Gonzalez will increase offerings later this year, to include pieces such as woven tops and jeans. Below is a look from the current collection, a black and white baseball tee. Check out additional styles here.
