Veteran outfielder Mike Cameron has signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals that includes an invitation to spring training.
The 39-year-old spent last season splitting time with the Boston Red Sox and Florida Marlins. He hit just .203 with nine homers and 27 RBIs.
Cameron, an All-Star in 2001, made a name for himself with his defensive play in the outfield en route to winning three Gold Gloves.
Cameron is a career .249 hitter with 278 home runs and 968 RBIs.
