Syracuse Chiefs lost 7-6. Shairon Martis allowed 9 hits and 4 runs over 3.1 innings and Jason Bergmann (2-3) took the loss, allowing a run in 1.1 innings of relief. Justin Maxwell was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles, run, and an RBI. Luis Ordaz hit his first home run and drove in 3 runs. Jason Botts and Chase Lambin each had 2 hits.
Harrisburg Senators got rocked 9-1. John Lannan allowed 9 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned, and struck out 5 to take the loss. He is not 1-3 with a 4.29 ERA. Devin Ivany was 2 for 4 for the Senators. They only managed 6 total hits on the night.
Potomac Nationals lost 5-4. Scott Olsen made a rehab start and went 5 innings, allowing 6 hits and 3 earned runs. He struck out 4. 2009 draftee Trevor Holder (1-2) took the loss, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing a run, striking out 5 batters. Tyler Moore remains on fire, going 2 for 4 and smacking his 15th and 16th home runs on the season. He is not hitting .500 over his last 10 games with 6 home runs. He has an 8 game hitting streak as well in which he has gone 16 for 30.
Hagerstown Suns got shelled 13-4. Graham Hicks (1-3) pitched 4.1 innings giving up 5 hits, 5 walks, and 3 runs. 2009 draftee Kyle Morrison continues to struggled at Low A allowing 7 runs over 1.2 innings, pushing his ERA to 5.98. Jeff Kobernus, Justin Bloxom, and Francisco Soriano each had 2 hits. Bloxom also drove in 2 runs. JP Ramirez was 1 for 3 with his 9th home run.
Vermont Lake MonstersLost 11-7. Taylor Jordan allowed 8 hits and 4 runs over 3 innings. Steve McCatty (2-2) got pounded for 5 hits and 4 runs over 1.2 innings. The solid Mark Herrera was not exempt as he got hit for 4 hits and 3 runs over 1.1 innings. Jason Martinson went 2-3 scored twice and drove in 2 runs. He is hitting .276. Justin Miller went 1 for 2 and drove in 2 runs. Conner Rowe also added 2 RBI.
