Hyoung Chang, The Denver Post New Rockies outfielder Michael Cuddyer was all smiles upon his introduction at Coors Field. The Rockies don’t usually make a big splash in free agency, but they made an exception when they signed former Minnesota Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer to a three-year, $31.5 million contract. Rockies general manager Dan O’Dowd is convinced Cuddyer will thrive as the team’s everyday right fielder, scorching line drives into the alleys at Coors Field and providing punch to the offense. Moreover, O’Dowd is certain that Cuddyer will be a perfect veteran fit in the clubhouse. Cuddyer, 32, spent his entire 13-year professional career with the Twins.
