It was just a routine chore, bringing the recycle to the dumpster at his apartment complex in Tampa. Unfortunately for David Robertson he tumbled down the stairs in the process and the Yankee organization is waiting for the verdict. Robertson injured himself Wednesday night and on Thursday morning, when the incessant throbbing continued, he made the call to Yankee head trainer Steve Donahue. The Yankees had David get an x-ray and MRI to check him out. Though, the x-ray was negative, the MRI wasn’t completely clear so a CT scan and weight bearing x-ray were ordered. Robertson spoke to the media at Steinbrenner Field after his tests wearing a walking boot on his right foot and using crutches. David told them he was embarrassed about what happened and hopes he won’t lose any significant time.
