The New York Yankees have designated infielder Ramiro Pena for assignment in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Chris Dickerson, who was just recalled from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre, tweets Peter Botte of The New York Daily News.
In addition, the Yankees have called up Eduardo Nunez, Francisco Cervelli, Adam Warren, Cory Wade, and Justin Thomas as teams can expand their roster on September 1st.
