The New York Yankees made a minor move, acquiring infielder Chris Nelson from the Colorado Rockies who had recently been designated for assignment. Colorado will receive either cash or a player to be named later. He is most likely a stop-gap for Kevin Youkilis who just went on the disabled list. Once the Yankees roster is healthy, Nelson can become more of a utility player if they decide to hold onto him.
