Two historic institutions—the Chicago Cubs and Northwestern University—are each in the midst of a critical business venture. In an effort to improve each brand, a group of close friends gathered together and ironed out a mutually beneficial deal that can simply be called a home run.

The Cubs have sent RHP Lendy Castillo outright to AAA Iowa. Castillo was Designated for Assignment on January 26th when RHP Carlos Villanueva (MLB Article XX-B free-agent signed by the Cubs last month) was added to the 40-man roster.
